About The Position

BB&E is currently looking for a Security Analyst to support the 325th Security Forces Squadron onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL. This role involves interacting with the general public, delivery drivers, and contractors requiring access to Tyndall AFB, FL. The analyst will enter visitor request information into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer system to perform security background investigation checks for visitors and commercial vehicles. A key responsibility is to interpret NCIC security background reports to identify unfavorable applicants.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required.
  • Prior knowledge and experience handling Base Pass & ID requirements for construction and contractor personnel, the general public, and commercial delivery drivers is desired.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately interpret results from NCIC security background reports.
  • Prior work experience interacting with the general public and/or similar security-related work is desired.
  • Ability to follow direction from management.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good keyboarding skills.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required.
  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the general public, drivers of commercial deliveries, and construction contractors requiring access to Tyndall AFB, FL.
  • Enter base visitor request information into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer system to perform security background investigation checks for all visitors requesting a pass from the Visitor Control Center (VCC) and the Tyndall Commercial Vehicle Entry Gate (Cleveland Gate).
  • Interpret results from NCIC security background reports quickly and accurately in order to identify applicants deemed unfavorable for access.
