About The Position

Provides safety and security services for guests, employees, facilities, and grounds by patrolling casino properties, enforcing regulations, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Serves as a first responder to medical emergencies and assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Valid Washington or Idaho Driver’s License required and must be carried while operating Tribal vehicles.
  • Must be insurable through the company insurance carrier.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required.
  • Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations are required as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent verbal communication and active listening required.
  • Frequent ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds accurately.
  • Frequent walking and movement throughout casino and property areas.
  • Occasional standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional stair and ramp use.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, stooping, crouching, and repositioning of objects.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of guest service experience preferred.
  • Military, security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
  • Casino or gaming environment experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations and gaming environments preferred.
  • Excellent guest service and customer relations skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to safety and security concerns.
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations, and Northern Quest policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the safety and security of guests, employees, facilities, and grounds.
  • Patrols casino properties, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and public spaces to monitor activity and maintain order.
  • Investigates disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, accidents, and suspicious activity.
  • Assists in protecting facilities from fire, theft, burglary, assault, and other threats.
  • Prevents unauthorized admittance of alcoholic beverages onto casino premises.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and provides assistance as needed.
  • Protects sensitive areas including money rooms and administration offices.
  • Verifies employee identification and monitors access control procedures.
  • Warns or removes disruptive individuals when necessary.
  • Reports accidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions requiring correction.
  • Assists with traffic control and crowd management when necessary.
  • Implements evacuation procedures and emergency response plans as directed.
  • Monitors guest and employee behavior for safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Learns, understands, and complies with all company policies, gaming regulations, MICS, and Regulation 31 requirements.
  • Maintains flexibility to work schedule changes based on business needs.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • May be required to participate as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
