About The Position

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring Security Agents at Miami-Dade International Airport in Miami, Florida. The company provides aviation security services, with a focus on catering, aircraft, and cargo screening. Security Agents inspect airline equipment, screen cargo, monitor aircraft activity, wand passengers, guard gates, and observe facility surroundings. The role requires working in cold temperatures and nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The stated pay is $21.91 per hour. Applicants undergo pre-employment drug screening, criminal checks, and/or airport fingerprinting. New employees must complete an FBI fingerprint check for a SIDA badge and a 10-year background check (10 years listed; 5 years verified).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete an FBI fingerprint check for a SIDA badge and a 10-year background check (10 years listed; 5 years verified).
Must not have been convicted of any listed FAA Disqualifying Crimes.
Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly to perform essential job functions.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be willing to work in cold temperatures.
Written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
Screen cargo using equipment or methods designated by the customer and according to customer specifications.
Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding according to customer specifications.
Observe and monitor unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection or validation duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
