About The Position

The Security Administrator helps safeguard the organization’s data, systems, and networks by monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats. This role works hands-on with enterprise security platforms and ensures compliance with PCI, SOX, and internal security standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, experience with leading cybersecurity tools, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in security practices. In 1980 the first American El Pollo Loco opened on Alvarado Street in Los Angeles, quickly becoming a destination for the best citrus-marinated, fire-grilled pollo in town. Over the past four decades, El Pollo Loco has grown into more than 490 restaurants across 7 states, becoming an L.A. mainstay and cultural benchmark along the way. And today, we continue to work just as hard to always provide customers with fresh and innovative L.A. Mex from our famous family dinners to Mexican entrees.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in information security within enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with some or all of the listed security tools and platforms.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and compliance requirements such as PCI and SOX.
  • Strong technical knowledge across cybersecurity domains and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to respond quickly to incidents.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable; capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work at the Support Center consistent with the hybrid work policy.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Security-related certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, investigates, and responds to security incidents across systems and networks.
  • Manages and supports enterprise security tools, including: EDR/MDR: SentinelOne; Privileged Access: CyberArk, BeyondTrust; Network Security: Palo Alto, Prisma Access, Imperva, Secure Browser; Email & Data Security: Mimecast, Barracuda, TrustArc, DMARC, PII Tools, DLP; Vulnerability & Auditing: Nessus, ADAudit; Endpoint & Monitoring: Tanium, Atera.
  • Assists with PCI/SOX audit readiness and evidence collection.
  • Recommends and implements security best practices, policies, and standards.
  • Partners with IT teams to strengthen security across applications, cloud, and end-user environments.
  • Supports other security initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
