About The Position

JourneyTeam is seeking a Security Administrator to provide an exceptional technology experience for our team members while helping maintain a secure, reliable, and scalable internal environment. This support-focused role blends internal IT service, identity and access management, endpoint administration, compliance support, and office technology operations. The Opportunity This role is designed for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, helping people succeed with technology, and strengthening security through practical, well-documented operations. The position will be the primary point of support for many day-to-day internal technology needs while also contributing to identity and access management, device security, compliance activities, Teams Rooms, office networking, and employee onboarding and offboarding. The ideal candidate brings a strong service mindset, broad technical knowledge, and the judgment to balance security requirements with a smooth employee experience. This is an opportunity to build depth in cybersecurity while taking meaningful ownership of internal IT support and operational improvements. This position requires on-site presence in our Draper, Utah office to support employee technology needs, device management, conference room systems, and office technology operations.

Requirements

  • A caring, service-oriented approach to internal support and security.
  • Clear, thoughtful communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in JourneyTeam's Draper, Utah office on a regular basis.
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, help desk, infrastructure support, cybersecurity, or a related technical role.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments and troubleshooting Windows devices and common business applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, MFA, SSO, and access-control concepts.
  • Experience managing or supporting devices through Microsoft Intune or a comparable endpoint-management platform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to documentation.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and follow through on commitments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Conditional Access, PIM, SSO/SAML application configuration, or automated provisioning.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 compliance, audit evidence, policy administration, or security-control testing.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience with UniFi or similar network-management platforms.
  • Experience supporting Teams Rooms or comparable conference room systems.
  • Preferred certifications include SC-300, MD-102, and SC-500. SC-900, MS-900, AZ-900, or related certifications are also valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Support user provisioning, access changes, MFA, SSO, and routine access reviews in Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Follow documented access and security standards, escalating higher-risk requests when needed.
  • Monitor basic security alerts and assist with routine compliance documentation and evidence collection.
  • Provide responsive support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, access, connectivity, and productivity issues.
  • Manage internal service requests from intake through resolution, keeping team members informed.
  • Troubleshoot Windows devices, business applications, collaboration tools, and conference room technology.
  • Prepare, configure, and recover company devices throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding technology tasks, including equipment readiness and access changes.
  • Maintain device compliance through Microsoft Intune under documented standards.
  • Support Teams Rooms, office technology, and basic network troubleshooting.
