About The Position

Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking a Security Administrator/Visitor Control I to support security operations at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. The selected candidate will provide visitor control, entry and circulation management, program security administration, and personnel and information security support within a secure Department of Defense environment. This position reports to the Chief of Security and serves as a primary point of contact for visitors entering the facility. The Security Administrator/Visitor Control specialist will ensure visitors are greeted professionally, properly identified, appropriately sponsored, and authorized to enter the facility.

Requirements

  • One to two years of related security, visitor control, administrative, or access-control experience.
  • Ability to verify identification, review access authorizations, and accurately maintain visitor and security records.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with visitors, employees, government personnel, and facility leadership.
  • Ability to follow written security procedures, emergency checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to protect classified, sensitive, and personally identifiable information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a controlled-access and classified environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting Special Access Program security operations.
  • Previous experience performing visitor control, entry control, personnel security, information security, or program security duties.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense security policies and classified facility procedures.
  • Experience using DISS or similar personnel security and visitor management databases.
  • Entry-level candidates who otherwise meet the position requirements may be considered and trained.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the identification of all visitors and ensure each visitor is properly sponsored and cleared through the Defense Information System for Security, an approved local database, or another authorized system.
  • Determine each visitor’s need for facility access and confirm authorization before entry.
  • Register visitors, maintain visitor logs, issue appropriate visitor badges, and notify hosts of visitor arrivals.
  • Ensure visitors do not introduce prohibited items into secure facilities, including cell phones, pagers, removable media, personal electronic devices, and other unauthorized equipment.
  • Perform or assist government personnel with inspections of bags, packages, and hand-carried items.
  • Receive packages and deliveries from outside agencies, including UPS and FedEx, and distribute them in accordance with facility standard operating procedures.
  • Verify that assigned personnel possess and properly display authorized access credentials.
  • Monitor entry and circulation within the facility and support access-control requirements.
  • Execute emergency procedures involving bomb threats, active shooters, force protection, antiterrorism, fire evacuations, and other emergency situations.
  • Follow established emergency response procedures and applicable facility checklists.
  • Account for all visitor logs, badges, instructions, equipment, and access-control materials at the beginning and end of each scheduled workday.
  • Assist with personnel security, information security, program security, and entry-control functions.
  • Maintain accurate records while safeguarding classified, sensitive, and personally identifiable information.
  • Provide professional assistance to employees, visitors, government personnel, and security staff.
  • Perform additional security administration duties as assigned by the Chief of Security.
