Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of related securities or fixed income trading experience
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg is required
  • Proficiency with Excel is required
  • Possess strong organization skills with a proficiency for attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Possess the skills to evaluate fixed income securities and their suitability for individual portfolios, including the ability to leverage trading relationships to assist Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors in managing the assets of the firm.
  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors by assisting with planning changes to client portfolios based on currents needs and/or market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of trading in Old National Wealth Management investment portfolios.
  • Provide accurate and efficient execution of trades.
  • Evaluate fixed income securities and their suitability for individual portfolios.
  • Leverage trading relationships to assist Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors in managing the assets of the firm.
  • Support Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors by assisting with planning changes to client portfolios based on current needs and/or market conditions.
  • Develop a broad understanding of the trading function with a solid awareness of the types of trades within each security type and the ability to understand financial data.
  • Maintain a proficient knowledge of the technology utilized for trading and account management.
  • Participate as a contributing member of the fixed income research and strategy team.
  • Manage accounts that require singular security types while maintaining an understanding of the account strategy.
  • Demonstrate the ability for critical thinking and problem solving along with the ability to multi-task.
  • Respond intuitively to resolving trading issues and settlement problems by using skills obtained through experience.
