About The Position

The Sec & Derivat Intmd Assoc Analyst is an entry level position responsible with enforcing the margin and credit regulations set by various regulatory bodies, including but not limited to the Federal Reserve Board, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) alongside the Firm's internal requirements. As a Margin Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and managing margin exceptions that arise during daily client trading activities. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service to various business lines by addressing regulatory and margin-related inquiries. This position plays a critical role in governing operational processes, ensuring regulatory adherence, supporting strategic platform development, and facilitating safe, scalable client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor margin loans to ensure compliance with equity level requirements.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between front offices and operations.
  • Conduct daily reviews of cash and margin exceptions to prevent regulatory violations.
  • Ensure collateral agreements for CITI customer accounts adhere to Federal, FINRA, and internal policies.
  • Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision‑making skills
  • Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activities
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
