Requirements

  • Post‑secondary education in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience designing and supporting secure infrastructure in enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of networking, identity and access management, operating systems, and cloud platforms
  • Proven ability to collaborate across security, infrastructure, and governance teams
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid architectures
  • Familiarity with security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and identity platforms
  • Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC)

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure/AWS Security, or similar (or working toward certification)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support secure infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Turn security, contractual, and regulatory requirements into practical infrastructure controls that can be operated and sustained.
  • Partner with IT, Security Operations, GRC, and business teams to deliver solutions that enable the business while reducing risk.
  • Build and improve infrastructure capabilities that support monitoring, detection, response, logging, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Address recurring security issues with durable infrastructure fixes, not short-term workarounds.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring infrastructure designs align with policies, standards, evidence needs, and compliance expectations.
  • Evaluate security and infrastructure technologies against enterprise architecture, operational fit, cost, and long-term value.
  • Improve the environment through automation, standardisation, hardening, documentation, and secure design patterns.
