About The Position

This position is for a Section Leader in the Inventory Control department on the 1st Shift. The role is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity, anticipating and solving potential problems, and ensuring excellent attendance. The Section Leader must be able to operate a forklift, be flexible to support extraordinary production requirements, and possess excellent communication skills to present information to large groups and enforce policies. This role supports and directs daily company production and projects, and the individual must be able to perform any associate's job if necessary. The Section Leader will investigate abnormal situations, document findings using Microsoft Office, monitor aging trailer reports, confirm order and yard maintenance, and manage the error management screen. They will also respond to AAP Requests, identify needed repacks, complete carryover requests, and provide daily activity results to the Supervisor. Safety and environmental responsibilities include following safety rules, ensuring a clean work area (5s at end of shift), and supporting incident reports. Quality responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy and reporting irregularities. Cost responsibilities involve ensuring correct receipt of all parts. Delivery responsibilities include supporting overtime and monitoring receiving areas. Morale responsibilities include interacting positively with team members and customers, treating associates respectfully, and raising concerns to management. Training responsibilities include training on SOPs and pursuing skill advancement courses.

Requirements

  • Post-high school education (2 - 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customer and associates.
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Computer skills- Microsoft Office; GCCS/GPCS.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Assessment Test will be required.
  • Must be a full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period).
  • Must not have received any formal written occurrences other than attendance during the past 6 months.
  • Must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting.
  • Must follow the chain of progression to apply: Production Associate → Section Lead / Trainer → Supervisor→ Assistant Manager → Manager.
  • Must have their resume turned into Associate Services by Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:59pm.
  • Must not have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months.
  • Must not have a manager level counseling within the past six (6) months for quality, safety or other.
  • Must not have more than three (3) or more unexcused absences within the past twelve (12) months.
  • Must not have received a voluntary transfer within the past twelve (12) months.
  • Must have notified management of their application.
  • Cannot be on an active AIP.
  • Must not have a manager level counseling for attendance in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.

  • Supporting Physical Inventory requirements.
  • Following safety rules and requirements.
  • Ensuring work area is clean (5s at end of shift).
  • Supporting Incident Reports as necessary.
  • Maintaining Inventory Accuracy daily.
  • Reporting any inventory irregularities to SV immediately.
  • Ensuring correct receipt of all parts in both GCCS and GPCS.
  • Supporting overtime (scheduled or unscheduled).
  • Monitoring receiving areas to ensure correct receipt.
  • Interacting with team members and customer daily in a positive way.
  • Treating all associates consistently and respectfully.
  • Raising concerns/issues immediately to management.
  • Training on SOPs as presented by management.
