The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification and validation. Within SE&TC, Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Logistics, Technical Manuals, Training, Reliability, and Supportability. We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager Systems Engineering, Life Cycle Engineering Section Lead - LTAMDS to join our team supporting the LTAMDS and Ghost Eye Programs. The Manager Systems Engineering, Life Cycle Engineering Section Lead – LTAMDS, will manage a multi-disciplined team of sustainment, reliability, and support engineers among others focused on delivering engineering products and services to our Program offices. Management duties include performance development and appraisal, career coaching and ensuring adherence to company policies, actively participate in LTAMDS/GE leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring and support program staffing. Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities. This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce. This position is an ONSITE position based at our Tewksbury facilities.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with data collection and/or analysis
  • Experience developing and executing engineering contract deliverables
  • Experience as a technical and/or functional lead of an engineering team
  • Experience in a technical environment managing budgets and using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or Basis of Estimate (BOE)

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
  • Raytheon Level II EVMS or equivalent
  • Ability to develop briefings to mid-sized audiences regarding technical plans, status, and results
  • Proposal experience - Performed as proposal lead/support for a contract capture through LCE leadership, Business Area approval and/or customer negotiation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude in creating and implementing metrics-based execution plans
  • Experience with various areas of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, and electrical schematics) and experience generating/interpreting Parts List
  • Experience in understanding a generation breakdown
  • Supply chain familiarity
  • Experience working in a project management environment
