About The Position

Raytheon’s Radars and Sensors Center within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Directorate is searching for a Section Leader to join our team. As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. This position is onsite Portsmouth RI.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with working with Navy Systems and Products.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Secret - Current Security Clearance Status
Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the Performance Development process.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team
Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system.
Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.
Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Integrated logistic specialists
Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team.
Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams.
Support department and directorate level initiatives.
Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
Oversight of personnel issue resolution.
Timecard approvals.
Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors.
Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.
