About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Section Coordinator to join a hospital-based laboratory team. This role provides technical expertise, leadership, and operational support within the laboratory, ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who values patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement in laboratory services.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Science (required)
• State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License (required)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist (required)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field (preferred)
• ASCP or equivalent certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine laboratory testing and analyze specimens accurately and efficiently
• Conduct quality control procedures in accordance with established protocols and document results
• Assist supervisors and department leadership in staff development and regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, etc.)
• Support training and onboarding of laboratory personnel
• Prioritize, perform, and delegate laboratory testing based on patient needs, staff competency, productivity standards, and departmental policies
• Provide operational updates and feedback to laboratory leadership
• Demonstrate effective leadership by fostering collaboration, maintaining professional relationships, and promoting high-quality service delivery
