The Department of Surgery and Specialty Medicine at the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician educator and leader to serve as faculty in Psychiatry. This part-time (0.60 FTE) position offers the opportunity to champion the integration of mental health throughout the medical education curriculum. This position is open to candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor. Academic rank to be determined by The Chicago School and IllinoisCOM's academic rank policy. The successful clinician-educator will lead curriculum development across both pre-clinical and clinical phases, building the pre-clinical Behavioral Sciences curriculum and directing the Psychiatry core clerkship rotation. Additional responsibilities include faculty recruitment and development, establishing clinical partnerships, and fostering research initiatives and community engagement. We seek a dedicated educator and innovative leader with deep expertise in psychiatry and understanding of the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. The successful candidate will create a collaborative, student-focused environment that aligns with IllinoisCOM's mission to train physicians who deliver integrated, patient-centered care addressing both physical and mental health needs.
