About The Position

ACES Chase Academy magnet school is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and highly organized School Secretary to join our team. This full-time, year-round position is a crucial part of our school's administrative staff, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and multitasking skills. Experience with PowerSchool is required. The School Secretary will play a key role in supporting the school's administrative functions and providing exceptional service to both adults and children. Requirements

  • Experience with PowerSchool is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerSchool is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerSchool applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle a wide variety of situations simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively to serve the diverse needs of our school community, including students, parents, and staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the school, including managing phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized records.
  • Utilize various software and systems to manage school records, attendance, and other administrative tasks.
  • Juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, such as answering phone calls, assisting with student inquiries, and managing administrative paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrollment, attendance, and health records.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with parents, staff, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Be prepared to handle emergency situations and ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff by following established protocols.
  • Support school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, orientations, and school meetings.
