About The Position

This job supports the department(s) assigned by performing a variety of clerical tasks such as typing, sorting, filing, photocopying, maintaining calendars, booking travel, meeting arrangements/minutes, submitting expense reports and ordering supplies. Serves as a role model within the department to all clerical staff; and represents the Department in all interactions. Creates documents such as memos and other correspondence and generates reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software as needed. This job serves as a point of contact for the department answering calls, relaying messages, and escalating issues to the appropriate person/group. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year office experience
  • Experience working with confidential information
  • Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the required job processes
  • Ability to function calmly in high pressure situations
  • Working knowledge with computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, telephone

  • Completion of business school or college courses
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
  • Maintains and complies with its Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including the immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct; patient/employee safety, patient privacy, and/or other compliance-related concerns.
