About The Position

This position is part of the Customer Care Department and is responsible for providing customer-focused professional support to our customers and internal teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Answering incoming calls, in a professional demeaner, to the Lottery and ensuring they are properly vetted and routed to the appropriate department. Learning the rules associated with each game offered by the Rhode Island Lottery. Learning the Rhode Island Lottery policies and procedures associated with validating Lottery tickets. Interacting in a highly professional manner with customers coming into the Rhode Island Lottery with questions or to cash winning tickets. Monitoring front lobby activity to ensure public questions and concerns are addressed. Processing winning claims, reconstructing instant tickets, and placing wagers for customers if needed. Providing daily midday drawing coverage. Receiving and distributing incoming mail and packages to the appropriate personnel. Providing general support to in-house departments with various administrative and operational tasks as needed. Requirements

  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience interacting with customers in person in a position which requires attention to detail.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility in work assignments, a desire to learn, and a willingness to accept new responsibilities.
