About The Position

This position at WAY High School involves managing student enrollments, serving as a teacher mentor, and providing academic support in the lab. Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Meet one of the following requirements: Complete at least two years of study at college (equal to 60 semester hours)
  • Obtain an associate’s degree (or higher)
  • Working knowledge of PowerSchool SIS or significant experience with a different student information system
  • Experience with Skyward or other procurement platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and shift priorities comfortably
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and administration and promote a collegial work environment
  • Regular, timely and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and pursue new student enrollments.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload of students and serve as a teacher mentor.
  • Provide academic support and assistance to students with school-related work while they are present in the lab.
  • Manage day-to-day office and program operations, including greeting guests, answering phones, monitoring attendance, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Utilize the district’s student information system to maintain accurate and up-to-date student information.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all student and program information in accordance with FERPA and Pupil Accounting Manual.
  • Manage student CA-60 files.
  • Prepare student communications and program materials, including academic progress letters, announcements, newsletters, social media updates and other correspondence.
  • Assist with state-mandated testing and related testing procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain office and program supplies, equipment, and an organized lab environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
