About The Position
RAMC Lab is looking for a secretary to join them! This position initiates lab orders for outpatients by inputting appropriate computer data to enable other laboratory personnel to perform their duties. The Lab Secretary is responsible for information management as it relates to the laboratory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Frequently sit, walk and occasionally stand
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 25 pounds while restocking supplies
- Occasionally push/pull with up to 25 pounds of force for transporting patients in wheelchairs and moving equipment.
- Occasionally bend to the floor and squat to retrieve files
- Frequently use the keyboard to input orders
- Continuous use of nearsighted visual acuity for reading physician orders, computer screens, and results
- Continuous use of farsighted visual acuity to track patient comings/goings
- Frequently and effectively communicate with physicians, patients, family members, and other staff members using hearing skills, comprehensive speech, simple writing, reading, and math skills
- Continuous clear speech and hearing skills to communicate with patients and coworkers, with the ability to hear low, soft voices via the phone or in person
Nice To Haves
- Previous typing, computer, or office experience preferred
