About The Position

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The Secretary II provides intermediate to advanced administrative support and performs a broader range of clerical and office coordination duties. This position requires greater independence, judgment, and proficiency with DMDC/DHRA software tools and government business processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, and Visio
  • Experience using government task management and workflow systems (e.g., ETMS2, TMT, ServiceNow)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Ability to coordinate and track multiple tasks and assignments
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of administrative and clerical functions, including advanced word processing and document preparation
  • Prepare and format briefings, correspondence, reports, and presentations for leadership review
  • Screen and prioritize inquiries, correspondence, and requests for action
  • Maintain complex electronic filing and document management systems
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, and logistical support for staff and leadership
  • Track tasks and actions using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), Task Management Tool (TMT), ServiceNow, or similar systems
  • Ensure timely distribution and follow-up of taskings and correspondence
  • Utilize standard DMDC/DHRA software tools and customized government COTS products to support office operations
  • Ensure compliance with records management, security, and administrative policies
  • Provide guidance or support to junior administrative staff, as assigned
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
