About The Position
Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position OverviewReporting to the Section Head, Department of Radiology and the Manager, Radiology Support Services, the incumbent is responsible for the provision of efficient secretarial support to the assigned section within the Department of Radiology.
Requirements
- Two years previous related secretarial experience.
- Must have excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meets deadlines, problem-solve and exercise good judgment for decision-making.
- Must have the ability to work independently with limited guidance and supervision.
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
- Typing 50 wpm required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
- Medical terminology required.
Nice To Haves
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of dictation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing support to the Section Head, Manager, Radiology Support Services and other members of the Section and assisting with administrative duties.
- Typing a variety of correspondence including presentations, medical papers, forms, etc.
- Acting as a receptionist, taking and relaying messages, answering general inquiries, setting up meetings for the Section Head, Manager, Radiology Support Services and Staff Radiologists.
- Performing all duties relating to departmental payroll.
- Maintaining departmental files and adequate levels of supply within the Section.
