About The Position

Fayetteville High School is seeking applicants for a Secondary Transitions Paraprofessional. The paraprofessional will provide supports to students with disabilities in developing pre-employment, workplace, and independent living skills. This position also transports students to and from off-campus work-based learning opportunities using a district-provided 14-passenger bus. A CDL is not required; however, the employee must meet all district requirements for student transportation and safely operate the vehicle.

Requirements

• Associate/two-year degree, at least 60 college credit hours, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis examination.
• Must meet all district requirements for student transportation and safely operate the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized support to students with disabilities.
• Coaching students in work-based learning settings.

• Assisting students in developing skills necessary for successful transition to employment and life after high school.
• Transporting students to and from off-campus work-based learning opportunities using a district-provided 14-passenger bus.
