About The Position

The Secondary Teacher Consultant will be responsible for supporting special education compliance and leadership within Ionia Public Schools. This role requires a strong understanding of special education regulations, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to the district's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage administrative tasks, meet deadlines, and foster a positive team environment.

Requirements

  • Meets Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) Teacher Consultant approval requirements
  • Valid Michigan Elementary teaching certification with a Special Education teaching endorsement
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict timelines related to special education compliance
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute the full range of administrative tasks
  • Must have the proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Secondary Special Education teaching experience preferred
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Ionia Public Schools Strategic Plan and core values
  • Demonstrated ability as an educational leader through excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive team culture
