About The Position

We're seeking team members who enjoy machine operations and an industrial setting. We are hiring operators for our production equipment to help us start up our new plant. This role involves performing a variety of tasks that require a thorough knowledge of operations, including operating various equipment to process material as specified by work orders, blueprints, and diagrams. The position involves working with more complicated parts, assemblies, customer specifications, and handling a large variety of parts that require fitting, adjusting, or tighter tolerances, using special hand and standard tools to complete parts.

Requirements

  • One-to-three months related experience, including manufacturing or similar environment as parts loader/unloader, machine operator and/or part inspector.
  • Computer Skills are required - knowledge of Manufacturing software and ability to learn new programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to work shift assigned and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Consistent experience in manufacturing performing machine set-up, part inspections and blueprint reading.
  • Heat treat experience.
  • Experience operating a crane.
  • Roll Line experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tools, gages, and equipment to make adjustments for meeting part specifications.
  • Operate a crane.
  • Assemble/disassemble metal plates.
  • Replace plates and hoses for machine upkeep and maintenance.
  • Process detailed paperwork to meet customer specific requirements for producing, assembly, or packing parts.
  • Operate equipment or hand and special tools using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards.
  • Perform accurate fitting, adjusting, assembling, straightening or packing parts.
  • Use necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met.
  • Keep all required records and maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Retain knowledge of numerous part numbers and specifications.
  • Follow detailed verbal and written instructions pertaining to the operation or assembly.
  • Perform entry level utility operations including running presses, buffing, spot welding, operating special welding equipment, gas welding, loading jigs, assembly, packing, bending, routing, piercing, deburring, stretching and contouring, sawing, sorting, drilling, and reworking.
  • Help other operators.
  • Operate forklift and/or cranes.
  • Load and unload parts from lines or machines and/or trucks.
