About The Position

For over 50 years, E & E has been a leading supplier in the automotive industry specializing in metal stampings and welded assemblies. Our growth and success is a result of the dedication and commitment of our company. Operators will be loading a machine that does welding, tapping, assembly and unloading parts to and from fixtures. The operator will be responsible for operating one or more machines to fabricate metal parts or assemblies to specifications, applying basic knowledge of manufacturing theory on production basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Speak effectively with fellow employees.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of experience in the industry.
  • Hands on experience.
  • Experience with basic computer systems.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformances to specifications.
  • Unload parts from machine, inspects parts for quality and place in appropriate containers.
  • Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or customer notes using instruments such as gauges.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
  • Change perishable tooling as required (taps, tips, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
  • Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Working safely as a condition of employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
