The Secondary Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting FORUM's mortgage lending operations by managing rate locks, investor relationships, loan delivery, accounting processes, and secondary market reporting. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of similar or related mortgage, secondary marketing, loan operations, or financial services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the mortgage loan pipeline and cover locked loans through the use of forward commitments.
  • Utilize secondary market reports to manage rate locks, commitments, loan fallout, and loan deliveries.
  • Perform re-disclosure desk duties, including sending Notices of Incompleteness and ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements.
  • Manage FAS133 calculations and provide pipeline and commitment data to Accounting.
  • Coordinate investor transfers of loans within DNA and MERS while ensuring accuracy and compliance with investor requirements.
  • Manage the delivery of loans to investors, including loan-level data, note delivery to document custodians, and adherence to investor delivery guidelines.
  • Maintain strong investor relationships by responding to audit requests, monitoring investor communications, and sharing policy and underwriting updates with the appropriate teams.
  • Oversee document custodian relationships, including certification, document retrieval, and maintenance of custodial records.
  • Manage mortgage rate sheets and provide support to sales staff regarding rate exceptions, extensions, and product changes.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries within the secondary marketing mailbox, providing timely support to internal partners.
  • Submit loan information for collateral reporting and assist in maximizing revenue on loan sales while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Research market trends and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the secondary marketing function.
