About The Position

PIVOT POINT INC. a manufacturer of non-threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, WI is seeking qualified candidates to fill a 1st Shift Secondaries Department Machine Set-Up Operator with Assembly. This is a full-time, 1st Shift position, Monday through Thursday from 4 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of recent experience with machine setups and assembly in a manufacturing environment, preferably with metal. The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity with small parts, and the ability to perform repetitive motions. Candidates must be able to sit or stand for long periods, frequently lift/move 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. The position involves learning to set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses and assembling metal fastener parts according to blueprints and shop orders, as well as operating machines safely and maintaining production rates. Strong teamwork, independent decision-making, and excellent housekeeping and safety practices are essential. Higher starting pay is offered for candidates meeting all qualifications. A solid, long-term work history is desired. Pre-employment and random drug testing are required.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Learn to set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses.
  • Hand assemble metal fastener parts according to blueprint and shop order for dimensions and tolerances.
  • Manually and mechanically assemble pins, lanyards, rings, or other metal parts.
  • Operate machines and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Maintain expected rates for production.
  • Read simple blueprints and QC sheets for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.
  • Participate and work well as a team member.
  • Work independently and make knowledgeable decisions.
  • Engage in excellent housekeeping and safety practices.
