This position is for a Second Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves planning and implementing a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, diverse backgrounds, and abilities of students. The teacher will create a conducive learning environment, guide the learning process, employ appropriate instructional methods, and assess student accomplishments. Responsibilities also include diagnosing student learning needs, counseling with colleagues, students, and parents, assisting administration with student life and conduct policies, and maintaining classroom order. The teacher will supervise support personnel and volunteers, use technology in teaching, maintain accurate records, perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities, adhere to the Code of Ethics, support school improvement initiatives, and recognize and act on indicators of student distress or abuse. An appropriate testing environment and test security must be established.
