About The Position

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Cook to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and buffet/banquet service. This role focuses on quality execution, food safety, and efficient service in a fast‑paced, member‑focused environment.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years cooking experience in a comparable F&B operation
  • Post‑secondary culinary training required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid Safe Food Handler certification
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Works well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Physically capable (lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot environments)
  • Available for nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and chef direction
  • Maintain full mise en place and support timely food service
  • Assist with buffet, banquet, and food station setup, service, and breakdown
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Toronto Public Health standards
  • Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and refrigerators
  • Receive, store, label, and rotate food and supplies properly
  • Communicate inventory needs and kitchen issues to Chef/Sous Chef
  • Assist with training junior staff and directing dishwashers as needed
