About The Position

Under the supervision of the First Cook, prepares and cooks hot and cold foods. This is a non-professional position with no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of related experience in food preparation or cooking.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the cooking of meats, vegetables, soups, gravies, and other menu items.
  • Assist with the preparation and seasoning of hot and cold food.
  • Perform short-order cooking of chops, steaks, and similar items.
  • Measure portions of foods and distribute them to various locations.
  • Carve and portion foods as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Maintain work area and execute food preparation and storage duties according to established health and sanitary regulations.
  • Follow and maintain instructions on production reports.
  • Requisition all products needed for production through the supervisor/manager.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
