About The Position
Warner Bros. Studio Operations seeks a 2nd Cook for the Food Services department. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food for various services within the department, including the Commissary and Special Events. The Second Cook will assist at stations in the Commissary, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow instructions from First Cooks. Responsibilities also include properly closing, wrapping, labeling, and cleaning work areas according to established protocols.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant.
- Demonstrated ability to prep a grill, sauté, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate is required.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include working beyond the standard shift of approximately 8 hours per day.
- Working some weekends and holidays may be required.
- Physical exertion requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maneuvering heavy weights up to 50+ lbs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve food for the Food Services department, including Commissary and Special Events.
- Assist at stations in the Commissary, ensuring a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace.
- Support and follow instructions from First Cooks.
- Properly close, wrap, label, and clean work areas in accordance with Food Services and health department protocols.
