SEC Reporting Analyst
About The Position
At Regions, the Accounting Analyst prepares accurate and timely financial reporting that may include, but not limited to, special requests, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and adding value through continued process improvement. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
- One (1) year in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience
- Ability to research, analyze data, and drive appropriate solutions
- Ability to work under direct guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Nice To Haves
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master's degree in Finance
- Experience within a financial services industry
- Certified Public Accountant Licensure (CPA)
Responsibilities
- Assists in preparation detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management
- Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion
- Researches and responds to technical accounting inquiries from our business partners
- Analyzes and resolves problems using prescribed guidelines or policies
- Completes ad-hoc reporting or other special projects as they arise
