About The Position
The Guild of St. Agnes is the largest early education and care agency in Central MA with a mission to provide families with quality and affordable childcare in a safe and nurturing environment. We are currently seeking a Seasonal experienced School Age Group Leader at our Grove St location in Worcester, for the summer. This individual will assist with classroom activities, supervise children, and help create a fun and safe environment for our school-age children. This candidate will have prior experience working with children ages 5-12 years in a supervised work setting and have obtained their high school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children ages 5-12 years in a supervised work setting
- Obtained their high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully completed EEC background check
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for their needs as individuals and as a group
- Know and maintain child/teacher ratios in compliance with EEC regulations
- Assist in planning developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Maintaining clear, effective and positive communication with children, families, and staff
