About The Position

This is a seasonal position at Blue Springs Beach in Lee's Summit, MO. The Assistant Supervisor will oversee daily beach operations, including admissions, maintenance, cleaning, customer concerns, and safety, in the absence of the Beach Supervisor. They will also act as a lifeguard when the supervisor is present, ensuring patron safety by actively scanning the water, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies. The role involves assisting with managing seasonal staff, taking charge in emergencies, and ensuring beach facilities are clean and stocked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Must obtain Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification prior to the beach opening.
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are necessary.
• Required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; work schedule will vary.
• All applicants must be 16 years of age or older unless otherwise specified.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test/background check.

Responsibilities
