About The Position

Working under direct supervision, the Seasonal Warehouse Worker provides manual and clerical support in sorting, processing, and verifying merchandise. Specific roles include BRC/Packer, Order Filler, and Asset Protection, each with distinct responsibilities related to merchandise handling, inventory management, and facility safety/profitability. Some non-routine activities require supervisor approval.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions.
  • Familiarity with use of contemporary merchandise processing equipment (e.g. handheld scanners).
  • Ability to learn computer processing systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to determine which prescribed steps to take to process problem cartons.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent years of work experience required for Asset Protection.
  • At least 6 months of experience in Asset Protection or Auditing required for Asset Protection.

Nice To Haves

  • At least six months related experience preferred for BRC/Packer/Order Filler.
  • College degree from an accredited institution preferred for BRC/Packer/Order Filler.
  • College degree from related field from an accredited program preferred for Asset Protection.
  • 1 year of experience preferred for Asset Protection.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares merchandise for distribution, including checks, inspects, and logs data into inventory systems.
  • Takes necessary steps to prepare merchandise for inventory and distribution.
  • Inspects merchandise visually to determine disposition.
  • Enters/logs appropriate data into on-line systems.
  • Moves merchandise from one location to another either manually or mechanically.
  • Picks merchandise for distribution.
  • Processes returned merchandise by ticketing, bagging and binning.
  • Conducts surveillance of customers and contractors to identify theft, fraud, or violence.
  • Supports shrinkage awareness programs by informing team members of current issues and necessary actions.
  • Maintains complete and accurate reports for investigations.
  • Responds to emergencies, which may include bodily fluid clean-up, CPR, first responder duties, or operating a fire extinguisher.
  • Maintains facility truck entrance operations.
  • Utilizes the CCTV System to identify threats related to theft, shrinkage, violence, and safety compliance.
  • Maintains all entry and exit points on the property.
