The shipping and receiving clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Responsible for loading and unloading trucks as well as facilitating departmental deliveries. Responsible for assisting with the audit and inventory of deliveries and storage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive incoming shipments and compare items to purchase orders Count items to ensure that the correct number have been received Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse Physically move incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders Maintain files of shipping records Trace missing or lost shipments Route products to departments Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers Organize records of goods shipped Inventory and audit stored receiving Maintain staging areas, packaging areas, and loading docks in a clean, orderly manner Must abide by all Company and departmental safety requirements Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests Regular punctual attendance Ability to work required overtime Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control.
