About The Position

As a Warehouse Colleague, you will be a critical part of our Supply Chain team, driving success across the organization using a Four Pillars Strategy with a customer focus: Organizational Excellence, Building & Developing the Team, Financial Acumen, and Integrating with our Community. You will perform essential processes for online orders for Macy’s and Bloomingdales customers. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

No Education or Experience Required
Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Ability to read, understand and interpret employment policies, instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
Self-starter in adapting quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Prolonged walking and standing up to the duration of scheduled shift (excluding breaks).
Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Ability to hear and see safety/emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck (PIT) warning devices to ensure safety while on warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

Receive, prepare, put away, pick, sort, pack, and ship merchandise in a safe, productive, and accurate manner.
Key accurately and productively using PCs, hand-held computers, Radio frequency equipment or other such devices.
Learn area-specific functions within multiple systems (Warehouse systems and proprietary systems).
Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and People Leaders.
Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
