About The Position

This non-exempt, non-benefited, temporary position performs general miscellaneous and unskilled tasks within the Water Resources Department. The role involves general supervision and a variety of duties to ensure the optimal performance and integrity of the water system.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Have a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District's insurance company.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to read, record, and interpret information.
• Ability to communicate with other employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Flushing fire hydrants to ensure optimal performance and maintain system integrity.
• Painting and maintaining fire hydrants to ensure they are easily identifiable and in good condition.
• Supporting the valve exercising program and maintenance for efficient and reliable system operation.
• Performing ArcGIS field logging and corrections.
• Cleaning well houses and other buildings.
• Performing routine clean-up and housekeeping to ensure work areas and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
• Handling administrative tasks such as organizing and managing documents.
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.
