About The Position

This position is a Seasonal 13-week assignment offering significantly higher base pay. As a Surgical Tech First Assist, you will provide direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures. This includes positioning and prepping patients prior to surgery, ensuring clear visibility for the surgeon using instruments like retractors and sponges, controlling bleeding, closing surgery sites with sutures or staples, and properly dressing wounds. You will also collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a certified surgical technician program
• Graduate of a recognized first assistant training program
• At least one year experience as a surgical tech
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures
