InterHealth Staffing, a for-profit staffing division of TGH, is offering 13-week seasonal assignments for a Social Worker LCSW. These positions come with competitive base pay and the potential for contract extensions based on unit needs. It is affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and serves as its primary teaching hospital. The Social Worker-LCSW is responsible for creating optimal outcomes for patients and families by managing complex psychosocial and economic co-morbidities. This involves utilizing advanced practice skills to mobilize resources, reduce risk, and act as an ambassador between the hospital and the community. The role focuses on providing social work services to help patients and families benefit from treatment, cope with their medical conditions, and actively participate in their care. Key aspects include coordinating transitions of care for patients with high psychosocial needs, maintaining current knowledge of and liaisons with local, state, and federal services for patient education and resources, and supporting HIM and Patient Accounts through accurate data entry. The Social Worker also collaborates with Care Coordinators and interdisciplinary team members to review multidisciplinary plans of care, attends Multidisciplinary Rounds or Huddles to report on psychosocial status, monitors and revises social work plans of care, and assesses/escalates potential obstacles to successful community reintegration. All duties must align with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
