About The Position

Maggie Daley Park is hiring Seasonal Skate Hosts to support operations at our popular Ice-Skating Ribbon during the winter season. As a Skate Host, you’ll be a key part of the guest experience—providing support on the ice, promoting safety, and helping create a fun and festive environment for all visitors. Maggie Daley Park is open 7 days a week in all types of weather. Rain, Snow and Sunshine. All Applicants need to be extremely reliable, dedicated and punctual. References will be checked.

Requirements

A Minimum of 5 years skating experience is needed.
Snow Removal Experience Required
Must have Own Skates
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy, public-facing environment
A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Committed to guest safety, accessibility, and inclusion
Ability to work in the cold and warm weather conditions
AED/CPR Certified
Reliable Transportation, in all types of weather.

Nice To Haves

Preferred hockey experience.
Prior customer service or recreation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
Assist skaters safely on the ice
Help guests who fall or need support while skating
Provide information about rink rules, park amenities, and skating guidelines
Observe skaters to encourage safe behavior and enforce rink policies
Respond to incidents and report injuries or concerns to the Skate Host Leader or Operations Team
Support cleanliness and organization in warming tents, rental areas, and guest zones
Assist with crowd control and guest flow during peak times on the ice
Participate in special events and group programs during the winter season
Help create a fun, inclusive, and festive atmosphere during themed or high-traffic sessions
Complete other job responsibility and duties as assigned
