About The Position

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is seeking a Seasonal Server to join their Food & Beverage team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in hospitality in a fun, fast-paced environment at the oceanfront. The server will be responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and unmatched service to all guests, requiring friendliness, proactivity, guest service focus, and local area knowledge.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age.
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to communicate effectively in a positive, upbeat fashion with interpersonal skills and focused attention to guests needs.
Ability to check transactions accurately and efficiently; basic math skills a must.
Ability to withstand prolonged standing.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Highly developed computer skills.
Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of individuals.
Highly developed communication skills.
Professional and ethical in all situations.
Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Efficiently and accurately take and deliver orders while interacting with guests.
Possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Learn menu items and describe them appropriately to guests.
Check in with guests to ensure they have everything they need.
Clean dirty dishes from the table.
Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including domestic and import beers, different types of wine, and brand name spirits.
Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris.
Track guests while they move around the pool area.
Work with other servers and be a team player.
Demonstrate superior guest service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor.
Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands.
Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ensure guests are satisfied with their orders and address any concerns or complaints.
Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar and grille area.
