About The Position

Stanislaus Food Products is seeking a Seasonal Scale Weighmaster Clerk to join their Field Operations team at their Modesto Cannery. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The role involves weighing raw materials, verifying vehicle and load data according to Weight and Measures Standards, and assigning load numbers for traceability and efficiency. The position requires working a swing shift (2pm-10pm) at least 6 days a week during the Harvest season, typically from mid-July through the end of September, with potential for extension. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative support roles.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and standards.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math, written communication, and data accuracy skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Weighing incoming tomatoes, basil, oil, chemicals, and vehicles using certified scales and established procedures.
  • Verifying vehicle, trailer, and load information for accuracy and compliance with Weight and Measures Standards.
  • Entering data from multiple sources with a high level of accuracy to support traceability, inventory, and reporting requirements.
  • Complying with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures; participating in required safety training and reporting unsafe conditions or work practices.
  • Assisting with training and supporting new and existing weighmasters on established processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensuring tare procedures for trucks and trailers are performed correctly and accurately documented to maintain weighing integrity.
  • Collecting, validating, and entering truck and trailer data accurately to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
