About The Position

The Seasonal Sales Associate assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance and is designated only during company-identified seasonal periods. It is temporary and supports increased business during high-volume times of the year.

The associate greets customers, operates the register, answers questions about promotions and advertisements, supports donation programs, and helps with truck receiving, pricing, merchandising, store recovery, and cleanliness. The role also includes communicating customer needs to Team Leaders and completing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend and twist frequently.
• Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
• Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally.
• Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
• Operate the register accurately and efficiently.
• Know promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and assist with selling products.
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
• Maintain a neat and organized front-end work area.
• Assist with receiving trucks, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
• Communicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store.
• Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
