About The Position
The Seasonal Sales Associate assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance during company-designated seasonal periods. It is a temporary position intended to support increased business during high-volume times of the year. Requirements
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to preserve the confidentiality of information.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize varied tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers and Associates.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and bend and twist frequently.
- Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
- Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
- Ability to remain alert and work safely.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
- Operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Know promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and assist with selling products.
- Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
- Keep the front-end work area neat and organized.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
- Communicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store.
- Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
