Seasonal Sales Associate
About The Position
As a Store Associate, you bring the Vera Bradley brand to life and serve as the face of the brand. You work with store leadership to achieve sales goals and provide every guest with an excellent shopping experience and best-in-class customer service. You uphold Vera Bradley’s core values and help make the world a brighter place through every customer interaction. The role involves recommending products to meet customers’ needs, driving sales through add-on selling and customer outreach, engaging customers through product awareness and team selling, and supporting daily store operations and visual standards. You help keep the store organized and inviting, and are expected to be reliable and follow company policies and procedures. The position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak business needs. The posted base pay range is $11.83–$17.79 per hour, with a stated starting pay of $14.00 USD. Individual pay depends on work location; the posted range reflects base pay only and excludes bonuses, equity, or other incentives, if applicable.
Requirements
- Enjoy interacting with people.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak business needs.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Walk and stand constantly; bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
- Have strong sensory skills, including good eyesight and hearing, and dexterity.
- Consistently lift 10–35 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.; and be able to push or pull more than 55 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Suggest products suited to customers’ needs and drive store results through add-on selling and customer outreach.
- Create an exceptional in-store experience by engaging customers through product awareness and team selling.
- Execute and improve daily operational procedures.
- Support the team in maintaining visual standards and keep the store organized and inviting.
