About The Position
Ace Hardware is looking for an enthusiastic person with a heart for customer service to join their retail store and help customers find the right tools and materials for their individual projects. This is a part-time role where you can gain valuable experience without committing to a full-time position. The store is open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Sundays.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Solid customer service skills
- Must have the ability to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Retail experience would be preferred, but it's not required for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Engaging with customers and assisting them in finding the tools and materials they're looking for
- Answering questions and making the appropriate product recommendations
- Checking customers out and accurately processing cash and credit transactions
- Assisting with organizing and restocking inventory
- Helping out in other areas as needed
