About The Position
GA Foods is seeking to hire a Seasonal Route Delivery Driver for our Los Angeles location. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites, maintaining vehicle upkeep, and adhering to food safety standards. The driver will also be responsible for daily vehicle inspections, recordkeeping, and assisting with food packing and storage as needed. Regular attendance is crucial to ensure customer deliveries are met as scheduled.
Requirements
- Valid Driver License (No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts.)
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
- General Office Equipment and Computer Experience
- GPS and Tablet Technologies
- Min. 3 years prior route delivery/distribution exp. preferred
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Responsibilities
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements
- Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service records
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
- Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned by management
