As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, connect them with appropriate products and services, and work toward sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors. You help customers on the sales floor and in the fitting room, build trust and loyalty, and contribute to an inviting, clean, and organized shopping environment. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. Throughout the day, they build friendly customer relationships, maintain a shoppable space, merchandise new receipts, process damages and selected merchandise returns to vendors, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and provide a sincere, appreciative close to each interaction. Teamwork, continuous improvement, and achieving individual and store results are also important parts of the role. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled to work 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
