This role provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs. The associate will actively seek out customers to understand their needs, assist them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. They will respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions, guiding them through the store and projects when necessary. The role involves communicating product information, including stock availability, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information. For the Tool Rental Department, this includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs. The associate will also cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service delivery. Additionally, they will detect and report signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks to management or Asset Protection. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization through housekeeping standards and Zone Recovery is crucial. The role requires maintaining a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, identifying hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates. Adherence to all relevant safety requirements, such as top stock safety, using safety cables, aisle blockers, tethers on power equipment, and spotters, is mandatory. The associate will operate store equipment as needed, depending on their specific role and department.
